5 months to stop a climate disaster.

Let's ensure the Kinder Morgan Pipeline get rejected by the Prime Minister. r1

Friends,

This December, Justin Trudeau will decide to either approve or reject the Kinder Morgan tar sands pipeline. Before he does, his Ministerial panel will listen to people across Canada and determine if the pipeline is in Canada’s “national interest”.

If built, the Kinder Morgan pipeline will steamroll over Indigenous rights and make it impossible for Canada to meet the global climate commitments made in Paris. It would make an oil spill in the Pacific Ocean almost inevitable. None of these things are in Canada’s national interest. Click here to tell Prime Minister Trudeau and his Ministerial review panel to reject Kinder Morgan.

The Kinder Morgan pipeline would move 890,000 barrels of tar sands each day. Bigger than the Keystone XL pipeline, Kinder Morgan... would be the emissions equivalent of adding 34 million new cars to Canada’s roads. It would also mean 400 tankers passing along the Pacific coast each year, with a spill all but guaranteed.

In mid-August, when the Ministerial Panel comes to Vancouver, we’ll join with others to deliver all of your messages, in person to make sure the panel gets the message: Reject Kinder Morgan. Click here to send your message to the Prime Minister and his review panel.

Indigenous communities, like the T’sleil Watuth Nation, are already in court to stop Kinder Morgan, and we need to stand with them. Let’s show Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Kinder Morgan Ministerial Panel that, all across Canada, we know it’s time to stop Kinder Morgan, once and for all.

Onwards,
Cam Fenton
