Donald Trump said that the "concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."
Now he's put Myron Ebell, a climate-change denier who’s been paid by Exxon Mobil and the Koch brothers, in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency transition.
Trump has sparked a wave of protest all over the world, and now we've come up with a new way you can make your voice heard: Make a donation to help fight for climate action in the name of Myron Ebell.
If you donate today, we'll record your contribution in Ebell's name and deliver to Trump Tower an official notification of the amount donated. Will you chip in today?
Trump's presidency is a disaster in so many ways. People of color, Muslims, women, undocumented people, and other vulnerable communities in the U.S. are threatened like never before.
And Trump's agenda for the climate is a catastrophe. Here's a partial list of what he's planning:
- pull out of the Paris Agreement for climate change;
- cancel payments for U.N. climate programs;
- shut down President Obama's Clean Power Plan, allowing coal plants to once again emit unlimited amounts of climate pollution;
- revive the Keystone XL Pipeline; and
- open protected public lands to coal mining and fracking.
Picking Myron Ebell to run the EPA transition is terrible on too many levels. He's attacked the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change as "living in cloud cuckoo land." And although he has no scientific credentials, he dismissed the overwhelming scientific consensus on global warming as "junk science."
Turn up the pressure on Trump and make a donation in Myron Ebell's name to support vital campaign work. Will you join by donating today?
Thanks for all that you do,
