BIll S-203 lives to fight another day! r33

Dear PAOV,

Thanks to thousands of supporters like you, the Senate bill to end whale and dolphin captivity is safe!

Earlier this week, we told you that Bill S-203 was at risk of being killed by the aquarium industry, which makes big bucks by keeping whales and dolphins in tiny concrete tanks. Some senators were trying to derail the bill behind closed doors at a Senate committee meeting.

But thanks to you, we saved Bill S-203. Our message of compassion was heard loud and clear—over 5,000 people emailed and phoned senators, swamping the Senate email server and making news headlines. This incredible... effort stopped the committee from voting against the bill.

PAOV, the Senate is now on break for the summer, so Bill S-203 will be back up for debate in the fall. This fight is far from over, but we won an important victory this week.

Thank you for everything you did to ensure this legislation lives on.

We'll keep you updated on the next steps. Together, we proved that animal advocates have real power. When join forces, we can win huge political victories for animals!

Sincerely,

Camille Labchuk
