Site C dam construction must stop now!

Dear Paov,

We have to stop the Site C dam.

Although we have hit some roadblocks in this fight, in the coming weeks the federal government will make decisions on issuing permits necessary for continued construction of the Site C dam – including permits to impact fish and wildlife habitat.

The federal government needs to reject these permits – or at least put them on hold – so that construction activities including clearing of forest and excavating the river channel will stop, allowing for important legal challenges by First Nations and local landowner farmers in BC’s Peace River Valley to be addressed.

Unfortunately, despite public commitments to respect the rights of Indigenous peoples and ensure a transparent and accountable environmental assessment process, the Prime Minister and his Cabinet have remained silent on Site C.

They need to hear from your Member of Parliament that their constituents care about the damage being caused by the Site C dam and want the federal government to take action.

Have your say today!

Visit our website, enter your postal code, and write your letter. It will automatically send your letter to your own Member of Parliament.

Tell them why it’s important for the federal government to do what’s right, so that important legal challenges by First Nations and local landowners can be addressed.

Thanks for your support – together we can get environmental protection and justice for the people of the Peace River Valley!

For the wild,
