Next Volunteer Action Meeting – Wednesday, March 25

Tribal Park trail building

Hi PAOV,

Next week, come learn about Tribal Parks, Indigenous-led land and resource management designations – one of our campaigns here on the Island!

On Wednesday, March 25th at 5:30pm, join WC Victoria staff for an overview of our Tribal Parks campaign and learn ways that you can take action and get involved.

The summer is fast approaching, and it’s a busy season for this campaign. We are thrilled to be organizing three trail building trips this summer in Clayoquot Sound Tribal Parks, in partnership with the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation.

Also, we have an exciting event coming up in April where we’ll explore the concept and learn the basics about Tribal Parks from First Nations who are working to establish and manage Tribal Parks in BC and beyond.

The event, Tribal Parks 101: From Clayoquot to the Chilcotin and Beyond, happens on April 27th – and we need your help!

Volunteers like you make the Wilderness Committee’s work possible. We host our regular Volunteer Action Nights (with a different activity each month) on the last Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 7:00pm at our Victoria office (#202, 3 Fan Tan Alley). Snacks are provided.

If you have any questions, or if you can't make it to the meeting but would still like to get involved please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday!

For the wild,

Emily Hoffpauir | Development & Public Engagement Coordinator
