B.C. will have a new Health Minister tomorrow, and we’ll be setting up a meeting with them right away.
Can you tell us what your top health care priority is for the new government so that we can raise it directly with the Minister?
During the provincial election, we talked to thousands of voters about the issues that matter most to you.
We took your feedback and evaluated the major BC parties’ platform
positions on five areas that would improve public health care
for everyone. Now we need to set the agenda for what they
tackle first.

Thanks to
years of running hard-hitting campaigns alongside members like you,
many of our top issues were included in the NDP-Green governing
agreement, and in their respective party platforms.
The new Health Minister will be faced with many pressing challenges right away. 700,000 people in B.C. can’t find a family doctor. We’re still the only province with a flat health care tax (MSP fees). B.C.’s wait times for some surgeries are among the longest in the country. And we’re in the middle of an opioid crisis.
